Begin with the evidence
Ask what claim is being made, which test was performed, on what configuration, under which conditions, and whether independent reports are available. A realistic rendering is not test evidence.
Map the dependencies
List the water, power, communications, trigger, human action, consumables, and environmental conditions the system needs. Then ask what happens when one is unavailable.
Evaluate the property and installation
Confirm how the supplier handles building geometry, attachments, loads, clearances, egress, permits, and installer qualifications. Avoid assuming a demonstration property represents every home.
Understand maintenance
Ask about inspections, replacement intervals, storage life, reset after activation, repair access, records, and ownership when the property changes hands.
