What a PyroVeil property review would consider

The proposed system needs to fit the building and its surroundings. A ZIP code helps start a homeowner conversation, but it cannot establish installation suitability. PyroVeil's review process is being developed alongside the system.

Different properties raise different questions

Information to have available

  • Building shape: The footprint, approximate height and roof arrangement.
  • Roof features: Chimneys, solar panels, vents, rooftop equipment and known roof condition.
  • Attachments: Decks, covered patios, garages, exterior stairs and other connected structures.
  • Site conditions: Ground slope, space around the home, nearby obstructions and access.
  • Existing plans: Planned roof work, other improvements or known installation restrictions.

Use records you already have and observations from safe ground. Do not climb onto the roof to gather information. A later discussion may identify which measurements need a professional visit; the initial interest form asks for basic homeowner and property context.

Questions the development work must resolve

Engineering work needs to establish suitable cassette placement, structural loads, deployment clearances, coverage boundaries and service access. It also needs to consider normal building operation and exit access. Our development roadmap explains where representative building review fits.

Local building and fire officials can clarify requirements that apply to a proposed installation. For an existing home, continue using official home hardening guidance while considering future options.
