From storage to enclosure
A weather-sealed cassette would contain the folded membrane, pneumatic deployment components, and controls. Roof attachment, weight, volume, weather resistance, and service access must be engineered for the building.
The concept borrows from aircraft evacuation-slide deployment: packed flexible material releases as integrated air beams pressurize. Those beams would carry the blanket outward from the same fixed apex location and down around the exterior.
This is dry pneumatic deployment. No ropes, cables, hoses, water, or external rigging are used in the visualized architecture. Aircraft-slide inspiration does not establish building-scale deployment reliability.
The design target is an opaque, semi-reflective aluminum-silver envelope over the entire building, including walls and openings. It would bridge roof features and descend around the building's ground footprint; it is not a skin tracing every roof edge or corner.
The silver appearance describes the concept rendering, not a claim that household aluminum foil is a suitable material. Membrane composition, seams, perimeter behavior, and thermal performance remain to be established.
Installation is part of the product
Loads, chimneys, solar equipment, roof geometry, and potential snag points influence cassette placement and membrane clearance.
Attached structures, uneven ground, landscaping, and access affect the coverage boundary and any ground-level retention method.
Activation logic, energy supply, safe egress, weather aging, inspection intervals, and post-deployment reset all need validated procedures.
What remains unproven
Physical testing must establish packaging feasibility, deployment repeatability, stability in wind, ember resistance, material durability, and coverage at seams and the ground. Autonomous activation remains a design target, not a demonstrated capability.
